Alternative printmaker Kathie Menduni Aspaas creates dynamic and textural collages out of hand produced elements, organic matter and printed materials. She uses traditional printmaking techniques including letterpress, collagraphy, photo etching and lithography.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Kathie attended Sam Houston State University and graduated from The University at Buffalo with a BFA in Printmaking and an MA in Art History. She has taught studio art, printmaking and art history courses at Buffalo State College, D'youville College and SUNY Erie.
